Gameplay video :

Bring the buried rivers of São Paulo back to the surface - by planting native Mata Atlântica trees.

São Paulo, the largest city in the Southern Hemisphere, was built on top of hundreds of streams, now buried under concrete and forgotten. In Tietê, you play a lone planter navigating a city that has forgotten its water.

Two worlds, one loop.

  • By day, the surface is safe. Explore, plant Juçara seeds on the last patches of bare soil, and search for the elusive Araçá tree - the fruit that has eyes - which reveals the location of a hidden water source.
  • By night, the surface turns hostile. You descend underground, where seeds await you. But the underground is timed: reach an exit before dawn, or fail.
  • Trees you plant during the day grow at dawn, becoming platforms that open new paths - the map is shaped by what you choose to plant.
  • Plant a Cambuci on the underground source, once revealed, and the water rises back to the surface.

The mechanic is the message. Beneath every street, a river. Beneath every vacant lot, a possible forest. This isn't a metaphor painted onto the gameplay - buried rivers, native reforestation, and the return of water are the mechanics.
